Word From The Lord......

1 Kings 6:11-13

11 Then the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying: 12 “Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David. 13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.”


Awesome scripture......allow God to speak to your heart.

Walk: to move/advance in His ways. Don't just choose any path but walk according to the plans He has for your life. Think about a walk-a-thon. They always have a beginning  point and ending point. There is always a specific path in which you must take. Don't deviate or try to take a short cut you may just be disqualified. If you follow the specific route you will finish and you will be considered a winner no matter what place you come in. (The objective is to just get to the finish line)

Execute: This one is a hard one for most folk! No matter what we have to carry out, accomplish, and give some effort in living for Him. If He commissioned us to preach the gospel then we must do it. If He says live upright then upright it must be. If He says no lieing, stealing, adultery, and the list goes on then our hearts should be pursuing those things. He is able to keep us from falling. (Thank you Jesus because I need him to keep me everyday.)

Keep: Hold on, retain in one's possession....hold in custody, under guard. You have to protect God's commands as if it is a life and death situation. In all reality it is! Have you ever watched two kids struggle over a toy. The one who originally had the toy holds on to it for dear life. Determined in his/her mind this is not leaving my hands. This is how we should be with His laws, our faith, and His Word. The enemy is going to try and come in a snatch away your faith, joy, strength but you have to step to him toe to toe (fight) and refuse to allow any of what God gave you to depart from your hands, mind or heart

He said, "Then I will.........

Perform: to fulfill a promise, carry through to completion, or to act. What more can I say on this. If you show up and be about God's business then He's going to do some awesome things in your life. Not only will you see the rewards but those who are watching your life will see the rewards too. You will be a living testimony that God is a man of His Word.

Dwell:  to live or stay as a permanent resident. Sounds like God wants to be our roommate. God presence wants to reside in our lives, homes, jobs, families, and so on. He wants to be a part of our very being, a part of our everyday activity. I believe God desires to be our roommates for a life time. He doesn't want to be on a 6 month, 12 month or 18 month lease, but He wants to remain forever.

Not Forsake: to quit or leave entirely, to give up or renounce. I'm so glad God will not forsake us. I know I couldn't make it without Him. If anyone like myself has tried to make it without Him it just won't WORK! I know what it's like to be left alone in my disobedience and it wasn't pretty at all. But I thank God for His Grace and Mercy He received me back with open arms.

Remember God is man that can not lie.....if He has promised you something it's going to come to pass. All it takes is obedience on our part. Don't delay the plans God has for your life by deviating from the right path. Keep on being about His business and see how He blesses you. You are just a step away from deliverence. You are just step away from your breakthrough. You are just a step away from your BLESSING. Just remember you are just a step away!!!!
