They said to know me is to love me but I don't think that is true

For although we never met I know that I already love you

They say to be around is like the sweetest song the world could ever sing

I guess cause I am not demanding and I allow you to do your thing

they say spending time with me is time well spent even if you never spend a dime

I hope it's because I let you get things of your chest and express your mind

I even heard them say that I am a good friend and awesome brother

But I hope thats due to the fact that I know how to treat one another

They say all these things about me but I guess what matters most

Is they opinion you gather in time and what you choose to post

I like to count my blessing not take them for granted

I like to recieve love not have it demanded

I like walks in the park not thru the shodow of death

I like to speak freely not have to hold my breath

I like a good movie not the same old flicks

I like to have music not the same old licks

You ask me what i like my list can go long and hard

But had you asked me what I love I would have said you and God

I Have Learned

No one said it would be easy or every day the sun would shine

I admitt it took me a minute but now I have a new frame of mine

I use to dislike the snow the hail the storms and the rain

I use to dislike the hurt the tenderness the soreness and pain

I was once totally against the abominations set by God

Than I realized that my walk with christ was never easy but always hard

Than i took the time to notice and truly reevaluate and i learned that things that i dislike was what made life so great

And if you take a minute and really think it through

The reason that you dislike those things is because God has brought you thru

Maybe it's just me
